youmett is a small marketplace for honest, editorial travel portraits. We keep the roster tight — four photographers per city, per season — and we meet every one of them in person before they join. Here's what booking with us actually looks like, start to finish.

Browse 20+ places we cover. Paris, Rome, Bali, Lisbon — a few you haven't heard of. Each city has a short, curated roster of photographers we've met in person.

Choose your photographer
Read their story, scroll the portfolio, check the packages. Match their style to what you're after — film or digital, quiet or bold, mornings or neon. Save the ones you like to revisit later.

Send a request
One short form. They reply within 24 hours — usually faster. No auction, no bidding, no platform spam. You both agree on the date, the meet point, the vibe.

§ Why youmett
Small, slow, deliberate.
We started youmett because finding a good photographer in a city you don't live in is a nightmare of Instagram DMs and dead portfolio links. There had to be a better way. Here's how ours is different.

No bidding wars
Prices are posted upfront. What you see on the profile is what you pay. The photographer sets their own rates.

Platform fee — 10%, disclosed
We take ten percent to run the site and support photographers. That's it. No hidden fees, no surprise markups at checkout.

From first question to delivered gallery, the whole conversation stays in your youmett inbox. No phone numbers swapped, no lost emails.

How soon do photographers reply?
Usually within a few hours. Our SLA is 24 hours. If a photographer is on a shoot or in transit, their profile shows it.
Can I change or cancel a booking?
Yes — you can cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before the shoot, from the My bookings page. Inside 48 hours, we ask you to message the photographer first.
Who owns the photos?
You get a personal-use license to every delivered photo — print them, frame them, share them forever. The photographer keeps copyright (so they can show the work in their portfolio).
Does youmett work outside the listed cities?
Not yet. We add cities slowly, with locals we trust. If there's somewhere you'd like us to cover, email hello@youmett.com — we keep a list.
